What’s the big problem? Doesn’t seem like it could be much more than a few cup holders and an automatic trans couldn’t solve.

Well, I would agree that most of engineering work is done. But they still need to remove some of the European influence to make them appealing to Americans. For example, GM didn’t change enough of the Saturn Astra. It still feels like and looks like an Open inside.

All they and GM had to do was import their best cars from Europe. Most of the engineering was done. Just have to meet safety and emission standards. Seems to me the best Opels and European Fords were better than their small domestic line-ups.

Well, it’s about time automakers started figuring out how to make cool small cars. For so many years, Mini was really the only cool small car. That is going to change in a big way in the next two years or so.

It looks a little like the new Fiesta. I just got the brochure in the mail from the stand at the cruise. It looks sweet and the reviews have been very good.
